Over a thousand rounds were fired and several grenades thrown in an infiltration attempt by terrorists in Jammu’s Samba sector on Thursday night. The Border Security Force (BSF) is convinced Pakistan Rangers provided cover fire to facilitate crossing over. (Now what Indian government will say about this , who want peace talk with Pakistan? - Editor) Pakistan, however, has denied its security forces were behind the firing. (Pakistan always deny act of terrorism each time, but the world knows the truth that Pakistan is birth place of terrorism in India! - Editor) Incidentally, the incident takes place just 10 days ahead of External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee"s visit to Pakistan. “A group of 7-8 infiltrators were trying to cross over to the Indian side. From the quantum of fire it seemed there were 15. They came close to the fence and started cutting it. We started firing and then there was an exchange. Over 1000 rounds were fired and 5-6 grenades were lobbed,” Additional DIG, BSF J B Sangwan said. The incident took place at the international border in the Samba sector, which Pakistan refers to as a working boundary. A nearby village took direct hits from the Pakistani firing. “Tracer rounds, bulltets and grenades came till here,” Puran Chand, a villager from Baingral said. BSF has little doubt the Pakistani Rangers were providing cover fire to help the infiltrators breach the fence. Scores of spent AK 47 rounds have been recovered from near the fence and from the village. Pakistan"s foreign office said none of its paramilitary units were involved and that the fire exchange took place between the BSF and smugglers. Pakistan’s Defence Minister Chaudhary Ahmed Mukhtar says neither Pakistan Army nor ISI is behind the firing and the Pakistan Army doesn"t use AK 47. (Though Pakistani Army doesn"t use AK47 officially, it is used by terrorists and it may also be used by Pakistani soldiers to give cover fire for terrorists! - Editor) Mukhtar added Pakistan had nothing to gain from fighting with India, but the BSF is not convinced. (Pakistani Muslim terrorists are spreading terror in India, on the name of Jihad. They want to make this India as ‘dar-ul-islam" i.e. Land of Islam. Hindus, be prepare to fight against Jiahdi terrorists! - Editor) “They have no direct involvement but they should be know about it,” Sangwan added.
